This screen contains a complete roster of all the 1996-97 Detroit Red Wings, including information on the three coaches. Use the Player Selection bar to select a specific player, and then explore his particulars by clicking on the action screen, listen to his biography, see his stats, or ask a special question.
In addition to the standard selection bar navigation and video controls, which can be found below, navigational points of interest found on this screen are:
PlayerΓÇÖs Picture
You may click on the playerΓÇÖs picture to remove it from the screen in order to see the full action shot. Click in the area where the picture was to return it to the screen.
Action Shots
Since most players have more than one action shot, simply click anywhere on the picture to view the next one.
Biography Text
Player biography text may be scrolled through using the Windows standard scroll control found on the far right side of the screen.
Speaker
Click on the Speaker to listen to Ken Kal read the biography text. You may also click on the depressed Speaker to stop the audio.
Stats
Pressing the Stats button will display scrollable stats for the current player. The standard Windows scroll control found on the far right will now move through the stats. Clicking anywhere else within the Stats display will remove it from the screen.
Q/A
Some players will have a number of special question buttons found just below the action/video screen. Placing the mouse over the question button will display the question, while clicking on the button will result in a video of your playerΓÇÖs answer.
SELECTION BAR NAVIGATION
Moving the cursor over any of the seven pictures on the screen will highlight the picture in blue. Clicking on any of the players will highlight the picture in red and make it the current selection. This will play a short player introduction. To replay this introduction, simply click on the current player, which is also highlighted with the red box. To move the selection of seven to the right or left by one, simply click on the appropriate right or left arrow.
VIDEO CONTROLS
While video is playing, you may pause the video by pressing the Pause key, which will change to a Play key. Upon then selecting the Play key, the video will start where it left off. The video may be turned on and off in this way as many times as you wish. To stop the video completely, simply press the Stop key at any time.
